How to Care for Your Mari Suit
Whilst we use the highest quality materials that will stand the test of time, here are some additional tips to help keep your swimsuit looking great for all the seasons to come!
Rinse after Use:
It's a good habit to quickly rinse your swimsuit with fresh water after each use, especially to remove chlorine, saltwater, or sunscreens.
Skipping this step won't be the end of the world, but rinsing helps your suit last longer and keeps the fabric in good condition, especially if you've been swimming in saltwater.
Washing:
Hand wash your suits in cold water.
Use a mild, eco-friendly detergent. Harsh detergents enter our waterways and can cause colors to fade over time.
Opt for air-drying your suit by laying it flat in a shaded area. Do not tumble dry.
Embrace the Guppy Bag:
Although all our suits are made with recycled materials, they may still shed microplastics during the washing process, as all synthetic fabrics do.
We recommend using a guppy bag, which captures these microplastics and prevents them from polluting our water systems.
Simply place your swimsuit in the bag before tossing it in the washing machine.
By taking a little extra time and care, your Mari suit will last through countless swells and many seasons to come.
